In India, if you want to pursue a PhD from a good college, you either need to qualify National Eligibility Test (NET) or appear in an exam conducted by the university itself. (Also, MHRD has made NET qualification mandatory from the year 2021). You will be eligible to receive a stipend from the Government of India if you clear The NET-JRF. Whereas, if you decide to pursue your PhD from abroad (say Germany, Canada, Or China) you need to first write a research proposal to the faculty, along with an SOP(Statement of Purpose) and minimum 2 LOR’s(Letter of Recommendations). Plus if you have a research paper published, you’ll have an advantage. Some universities also demand the scores of English proficiency tests (like GRE and TOEFL). You can apply for Scholarships- partial or fully funded. Though the chances of getting a fully-funded scholarship are slim, it’s worth a shot! In my opinion, try to crack an entry into an international university. The perks are high If you get a fully-funded scholarship. The time it takes to complete your PhD would also be less. I hope it helps. All the Best! 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerCancel replyYou must login to add an answer.Continue with FacebookContinue with Googleor use Username or email* Password* Remember Me!
